An Analysis of Saturday Night Live

For almost 43 years, Saturday Night Live has been at the center of late night comedy. Many actors have found their comedic voice through SNL, and have gone on to find success outside of Studio 8H. Such actors include Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Will Ferrell, and Jimmy Fallon. For my Television VIZ project, I chose to visualize how many appearances each cast member has had for the last 10 complete seasons. Through this visualization, it was interesting for me to see how actors went from supporting cast to featured cast over time, and how some actors were barely utilized throughout the seasons they were in.
